Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry on Wednesday said notices will be issued to all the parties including Asad Durrani, stressing the hearing cannot be carried out without his presence.
Hearing Asghar Khan’s petition after a span of 12 years, the apex court said the notice issued to Asad Durrani came back without compliance. The court directed the concerned authorities to ascertain Durrani’s new address so that notice could be issued to him.
When court mentioned that it is going to adjourn the hearing till March 2nd, Advocate Akram Sheikh told the court that Durrani is currently in Colombo and will return home after March 6; hence, the hearing should be adjourned till March 8.
Attorney General of Pakistan Maulvi Anwarul Haq supported his plea, which was granted by the court which adjourned the petition till March 8.
