A man killed his mother Majeedan and elder brother Maqbool Ahmad, residents of Kot Khaizan Singh, City Raiwind, over property dispute at their home in the City Raiwind police precincts on Tuesday. Police have removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy. The complainant, Majeedan’s youngest son, told the police that his mother had purchased a 5-marla plot and got it registered for his brother Maqbool. However, Maqbool sold it without giving a share to his elder brother Mehmood Sajid, alias Pappu, over which scuffles started within the family. On the day of incident, Mehmood once again demanded his share in the land and after refusal, opened indiscriminate fire on his brother and mother, who died on the spot while the accused managed to escape from the scene. After hearing bullet shots, the victims’ other family members rushed to the crime scene and found them in a pool of blood. They rushed the victims to a local hospital and after being informed the local police reached the scene and began collecting forensic evidence. City Raiwind Investigation In-charge confirmed that the family had a property dispute over which accused Mehmood had killed his brother and mother. He added that police had been conducting raids to arrest the killer.
