Shahdra police have registered a case against an accused person, who had allegedly raped his daughter, and arrested him on the complaint of his wife on Tuesday. The complainant Nabila told the Shahdra police that her husband Waris Masih was an addict and used to bring prostitutes at home. On the day of incident, he was allegedly drunk and raped her daughter. Police have arrested the accused for further interrogation.
DEATH BY DRUGS: A 45-year old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Shafiqabad police precincts. Local police reached the scene and removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. Police have suspected that the deceased person was a drug addict and died due to excessive use of drugs.
THREE PRONGED FIRE: Valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes in three fire incidents in the provincial metropolis on Tuesday. Fire broke out at a spare parts shop situated at Shafi Plaza in the Badami Bagh police precincts due to short circuit and reduced valuables to ashes. Rescue 1122 Fire Service reached the scene, evacuated two persons and extinguished the fire. Similarly, fire broke out at two houses in Gulberg and Faisal Town due to short circuit and burnt down valuables. Fire broke out at the house of Jamil in Gulberg-III and at the house of Ismaeel in Faisal Town. Valuables including furniture were gutted. However, no loss of life or injury was reported.
