The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) Islamic Thought, History and Culture, Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies Department will hold a national seminar on ‘The Standardisation of University Journals and their Role in Promotion of Quality Research’.
Faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies Dean Prof Dr Ali Asghar Chishti will preside over the seminar while International Islamic University Islamic Research Institute Director General Dr Muhammad Khalid Masood will be the Chief Guest for the first session.
The speakers for the first session include Dr Mohyuddin Hashimi, Dr Baqir Khakwani (AIOU), Dr Shabbir Ahmad Mansoori (PU), Khursheed Nadeem (IIUI), Salman Ahmad (HEC) and Dr Samina Awan (AIOU).
The second session of the day long seminar will start from 12 15 pm in the university’s Council Hall for which National Language Authority Chairman Dr Anwar Ahmed will be the chief guest.
The speakers for this session include Dr Qudsia Riffat (AIOU), Prof Muneer Ch (NUST Mirpur), Dr Abdul Ghaffar (NUML, Islamabad), Dr Sultan (GCU Lahore), Abdul Rehman Saleh (IIUI), Dr Abdullah Jan (AIOU), Dr Abdul Hayee (IIUI), Dr Muhammad Sajjad (AIOU) and Dr Nighat Farooq (AIOU).
