The Islamabad police on Wednesday arrested 12 suspects and 10 other outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered bottles of liquor and looted items worth Rs 650,000 from their possession, a police spokesman said.
According to details, Sihala SHO Inspector Muhammad Hussain Lasi and ASI Muhammad Tariq arrested notorious thieves and recovered stolen items worth Rs 300,000 from their possession. The thieves identified as Taha, Farooq and Saddam Hussain confessed their involvement in theft activities. Further investigation is underway.
ASI Saleem Raza of Ramna police nabbed another thief Ghufran and recovered stolen items wroth Rs 350,000 from his possession. ASIs Sohail Akram and Ashfaq Ahmed from Ramna police nabbed Bashir Masih and Adnan Masih for having five bottles of liquor.
ASI Fazal Khaliq along with a team of Golra police apprehended Bilal Hamid, Javed, Rana Ghulam Qadir and Mah Nur for their alleged involvement in immoral activities.
Meanwhile, Golra police conducted a search operation in their areas and arrested five suspects.
Similarly, Tarnol and Secretariat police nabbed five and two suspects, respectively, during search operations in their respective areas.
