Senate ticket not my fee: Aitzaz

Barrister Aitzaz Ahsen on Thursday said the Senate ticket awarded to him was not his fee for contesting the contempt case against the prime minister.
Talking to reporters at the Supreme Court building after adjournment of contempt proceedings, he said he was hopeful of getting his client discharged and acquitted from the contempt of court charges. He said those who were hoping that the prime minister would be handcuffed today (Tuesday) were disappointed, as all decisions were taken in by court per law and the constitution.
Aitzaz said he had prayed the court to summon all three witnesses, including former law minister Dr Babar Awn, law secretary Masood Chishti and Cabinet Secretary Nargis Sethi, who had signed the summaries for not writing a letter to foreign countries for reopening cases against President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said he wanted to bring all documentary evidence on the record. The senior lawyer said the Supreme Court had allowed him to summon PM’s former principal secretary Nargis Sethi as witness and also cross-examine her.
He said according to his sources, Babar Awan and Masood Chishti had refused to appear as witnesses, however, if documents presented before the court proved correct, there would be no need of Awan and Chishti to appear as witness.

  1. I am going to be disappointed according to one seat Aitazaz Ahsab 🙁 . I was even hoping these crooks will be hang, well it’s right all wishes are not granted.

  2. Those who are criticizing Aitzaz are actually perceiving what they would do if they were in Aitzaz's position, this also indicates the sick mind.

  3. Aitazaz Ahsan you are big LOSER now. From Hero to Zero!!! Not expecting this kind of character from you…………………..!! Shame on You

  4. My sympathies are with you guys but this is what happening in Pakistan. No body can envisage that this man can go to the such extend only for the sack of money.

  5. What a low life disgrace to humans. He would sell his wife and daughters for a position in govt. The man has no morals. I hope people see thru him for what he really is-a two faced bast**d.

  6. Aitzaz Ahsan has learnt a lot from his blunder of leaving the PPP in 77 during PNA agitation. After rejoining the party, he never thought of leaving despite humiliation by small people, till recently. Now he has a bright future,
Paiwasta rah shajar say umeed-i-bahar rakh. Well done.

  7. The Senate seat is only the icing on the cake, bcause the real cause was threat of cancelling LPG quota given to his wife and unleasing FBR goons on him for concealment, plus a lot more like promises of Chairman Senate. Greed overtook whatever honor he may have had or we perceived him to possess

  8. …including former law minister Dr Babar Aw?n, law secretary Masood. Typo correction.

A case of Pasrkinson's law. Stretch and stretch so much that the case becomes time barred in Switzerland

  9. including former law minister Dr Babar Aw?n, law secretary Masood. Typo correction.

A case of Parkinson's law. Stretch and stretch the case so much that the case becomes time barred in Switzerland.

Do we have an efficient justice system? Air Marshall (R) Asghar Khan's petition is a case in point. Out of the slumber after 12 years.

In Pakistan, it appears justice delayed is justice not denied!

  10. Senate Ticket alone is not his fee rather Senate ticket
and lots of money form public fund to represent a corroupt PM is his fee :)))

  11. I was as at a wedding the other day. Aitzaz and Non zardardi friends of pppp were there. It was the CJs son wedding. nice thing u over hear when u r standing next to them. "mujh say kon si chirya kya kehti hai" you dont want to know. For the people who criticise I cant say much to "Giraybaan jhank lo". But the point is why after all Aitzaz u are the one who said "Govt. should write the letter" a while ago. And thank you for pointing out the sick minds but the problem is when are we going to learn.
