An application was filed in the Supreme Court seeking elimination of an alleged political wing of country’s intelligence service, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Directorate, here on Tuesday.
The application was moved by Advocate Wahabul Khairi, making the president, the prime minister, the army chief and the ISI chief and others respondents.
The application noted that the political cell of the ISI was in violation of basic rights of citizens under clause 17(2) of the constitution.
The advocate prayed that his plea be taken up with Asghar Khan’s petition which the court is set to hear on Wednesday.
