Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday inaugurated National Book Foundation (NBF) Mobile Book Club and Shop, ‘Books on Wheels’. Talking to the press, he said the NBF book clubs would help promote book culture in the country. NBF MD Mazharul Islam was also present on the occasion. Talking to the media, Islam said cabinet secretary Nargis Sethi gave the idea of Books on Wheels. Mazharul Islam further said the NBF has launched several book clubs – in hospitals, villages, airport lounges, trains, and railways stations. The Mobile Book Club is a new initiative, which is aimed promoting reading culture.
