The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Monday further hiked the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by one rupee. The rise in CNG price was made under the head of 25 percent sales tax on gas surcharge. According to the notification issued by OGRA, for Zone 1, prices of CNG have been increased by Rs 1.06 per kg and Rs 0.55 per kg for Zone 2. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Potowar areas fall in Zone 1, where CNG price has soared to Rs 75.35 per kg. On the other hand, CNG will be sold for Rs 70.15 per kg in Sindh and Punjab.
