The Supreme Court will start hearing a petition filed by Air Marshal (Retd.) Asghar Khan in 1996 regarding alleged distribution of million of rupees among various politicians in the 1990 parliamentary elections, on February 29.
A three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the petition.
Meanwhile, the petitioner, Asghar Khan has changed his counsel. He has replaced Advocate Wahab ul Khairi with Advocate Suleman Akram Raja.
Khairi has also decided to file another petition in his personal capacity. He said Suleman Akram Raja doesn’t have the facts about the case.
He said he had been fighting the case to cleanse the political system of corruption.
