Former Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Assistant Nusrat Ali Toor has announced to go on hunger strike till death from 29th in front of the Punjab Assembly against departmental discrimination and victimisation. In a notice to all functionaries of the Punjab government and clerks associations, Toor said he had been struggling for the last 20 years as APCA provincial president for the rights and promotion of government employees from the platform of trade unions and All Pakistan Clerks Association. During his long struggle, he went to jails many times and faced criminal cases as well, but never gave up his efforts for the rights of employees, he added. Toor further said in the notice that he had negotiated successfully for the employees’ rights with all top-most functionaries and got raise in their salaries and other privileges.
