Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar narrowly escaped a fatal car accident in Islamabad, a private TV channel reported.
The car of the former speedster, known as the Rawalpindi Express, crashed into a roadside concrete block near Prime Minister Secretariat.
The incident appears to be a result of over-speeding.
