Today (Monday) is the last date for submission of admission forms (without late fees charges) at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) from Matriculation to MA/MSc level programmes for the spring semester 2012.
While talking to this scribe, AIOU Director Admissions Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain Naqvi told that computerised admission forms had been sent to all the continuing students across the country. If any student did not receive the admission form so far, he/she should download the same from the AIOU website www.aiou.edu.pk or obtain it from the nearest regional/co-ordination office of the university and deposit it in any designated bank branch by putting roll/registration numbers and mobile number with fee.
Naqvi said admission forms and prospectuses for all programmes offered in semester spring 2012 can be obtained from the sale points at main campus, regional campuses and coordinating offices all over the country.
He said that admission forms with required fee could be submitted at the nationwide branches of First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and the designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank Ltd. Fee in shape of bank draft/pay order will not be accepted.
Workshop to start from March 5: Meanwhile, Department of Gender and Women Studies, Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has scheduled courses workshops for first semester students of MSc Gender and Women Studies programme for the autumn semester 2011 which is going to be started from March 5, 2012 and would continue till March 11, 2012, from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm daily at Begum Nusrat Bhutto Auditorium of the university.
Courses workshops are being held for the courses 4641-Psychology of Gender, 4642-Lifespan Development of Women: Psychosocial Context, 4643-Pakistani Khawateen Ka Sheiri Adab main Kirdar, 4644-Pakistani Khawateen ka Nasri Adab main Kirdar.
Intimation letters for attending the workshops are being sent to students at their given addresses. If any student has been unable to receive his/her information letter till March 2, 2012, he is advised to contact Dr Riffat Haque, Incharge Department of Gender & Women Studies, personally or at telephone no 051-9057848.
