PNCA holds Mehfil-e-Milaad

Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in collaboration with ministry of national heritage and integration on Wednesday organised Mehfil-e-Milad for women to mark the holy month of Rabiul Awwal. Renowned television and radio Naat Khawans and intellectuals including Noor Fatima, Aqsa Kanwal, Aroosa, Mahjabeen, Rizwana Khan and others recited the Naats and Darood.
While talking about Seerat-un-Nabi, Noor Fatima and Aqsa Kanwal rekindled everyone’s spirit of piousness and religious devotion. They highlighted various aspects of the personality of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). They said the Muslim world was confronting innumerable problems due to its deviation from the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Other speakers highlighted the golden era of Madina and Arab world after the advent of Islam. Islam has described every major and minor issue of life and the Holy Prophet (PBUH) practically proved it, they said, adding peace and progress can only be achieved by following the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBHU). At the end, a special prayer was offered for the prosperity, integrity and welfare of the country.
Meanwhile, Mehfil-e-Milad also was organised in International Islamic University School, I-8/3 branch with religious zeal. The milad was attended by parents, teachers, students and staff members of the school.
Students of montessori section warmly welcomed all guests by showering rose petals. Students and teachers recited verses from the Holy Quran and offered Darood-o-Salam for the blessed soul of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The principal of the school, Sidra, highlighted different aspects of the life of Holy Prophet (PBUH). She said the true message of Islam is peace, love, equality and total submission to the will of God.
Later, prayers were offered for prosperity of the country and unity of the ‘Ummah’.
