The Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) awarded its 20th PhD in Economics to Miraj-ul-Haq. In his PhD dissertation, Haq developed a theoretical model incorporating the roles of international trade and human capital in the process of economic growth. The model has been empirically tested on a sample of 23 developing countries and the results of the research show that international trade plays an important role in enhancing the prospects of growth in developing countries through its positive effects on accumulation of human capital. The research was evaluated by international examiners including Professor Wesley Peterson of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, and Professor Muhammad Mushtaq of University of Michigan, USA.

  1. PIDE is producing the flawed, half baked and pseudotype scholars . Everybody knows the impact of international trade on human capital and a model means running regression like thing on the data of 23 countries . Is it phd or an undergraduate assignment ? Pakis are dumb guys , they can not reason well and they are the thrones of a dessert , shut QAU and Shut PIDE , these are the factories of useless snakes for a dud role in the corrupt and ineffiecient government service of Pakistan .
