Provision of decent public transport facility to the residents of the capital is the top priority of the prime minister’s task force which has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to launch the project at the earliest with the assistance of the private sector. This was stated by Prime Minister’s Task Force on Islamabad Chairman Faisal Sakhi Butt, while addressing the newly elected office bearers of Traders’ Welfare Association in E-11 Markaz. He said the ever-increasing complexity of the civic and development problems of the city calls for some out-of-the-box solution and some brave decisions would have to be taken to resolve these chronic issues. Butt said the development projects worth billions of rupees had been executed without consulting the residents of the city and other stakeholders. He said now the people would have their say in the decision-making process and the development projects would be executed taking the residents onboard.
