Youth crushed

An 18-year-old boy was crushed to death by a one-wheeler in the Sabzazar police limits on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Muqarab Sultan, resident of Sialkot. He was a motor-mechanic by profession and was working in a workshop situated near Shah Noor Studio. He was on his way on foot when a one-wheeler hit him from behind. As a result, both fell on ground and sustained injuries. They were rushed to a local hospital where Muqarab succumbed to injuries while condition of biker is stated to be critical. Police have handed over the body to victim’s heirs after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, a speeding truck hit three friends in the Lower Mall police limits and left them injured. The victims identified as Abdullah, Naeem and Daud were on their way on Katchehry Road when a speeding truck hit them. The victims were rushed to a local hospital where the condition of Daud is stated to be critical. However, the truck driver managed to escape from the scene.
CASE REGISTERED: Shahdra Town police have registered a case against a couple, their four sons and five others on the charges of thrashing two constables on Tuesday.
According to details, two brothers named Ijaz and Nadeem were on their way when police constables named Iqbal and Mehmood intercepted them. The brothers ignored the signal and rushed the bike towards their home. Police constables reached their home and were trying to arrest them when allegedly their family members attacked the officers and tore their uniforms.
FIA: FIA has arrested a travel agent involved in defrauding people and has registered a case against them on Tuesday. The arrested accused person was identified as Muhammad Jameel.
BODY FOUND: A 30-year-old man was recovered dead under mysterious circumstances near Datar Darbar on Tuesday. Police have removed the body to the morgue. The cause of death would be ascertained after autopsy.
GANG BUSTED: Gulshane Ravi and Iqbal Town police claimed to have arrested 3 members of two dacoits’ gangs and recovered booty and illegal weapon from their custody. The arrested accused dacoits have confessed to 35 crimes during initial investigation. They were identified as Gulraiz Khan alias Gullu, Zafar alias Zafri and Fazal Nauman alias Fazli.
TRAFFIC: Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Syed Ahmad Mobin visited Muslim Town flyover on Tuesday and directed wardens to guide road users about diversions and maintain the flow of traffic. Citizens can also seek help about traffic situation at Helpline 042-1915 and FM Radio 88.6.
