Roshin Bibi, a resident of Peshawar, on Tuesday claimed that the police has declined to register an FIR on the murder of her son Qasim Shah and the forfeiture of her house, land and property against Nayaz Ali Shah, the son of her husband’s eldest brother.
The downcast mother along with her four daughters sat in front of National Press Club Islamabad to lodge her protest against the injustice and oppression perpetrated by the family members of her in-laws and appealed to the President, Prime Minister and Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mihammad Chaudhary to take immediate notice of the apathy of the administration and police personnel and help procure justice in this regard along with protection of her young daughters.
Talking to Pakistan Today, Roshin Bibi claimed, “Nayaz Ali Shah and his other brothers with the intention to forfeit her share from inherited property and land and to usurp the whole money given by National Highway Authority as compensation for the land, got her husband addicted to drugs. Later on, they took possession of the entire piece of land and property through coercion and force”.
She said, “ When my son Qasim Shah strived to access the records of his property and land, Nayaz Shah along with his accomplices killed my son in a callous manner”, adding the allegation that the police denied to cooperate to lodge an FIR against the criminals and supported them after taking bribe.
Roshin Bibi said that the police even went to the extent of ignoring the notice issued by the Islamabad President Secretariat.
She further said that the criminals have confiscated her house given to her on the eve of her marriage in her wedding contract and meted out cruel treatment to her young daughters.
She said that her three youngest daughters had died of hunger and starvation.
“I took refuge in the house adjoining the territory of graveyard that belonged to the cousin of her husband. There, Nayaz Ali Shah and his accomplices disparaged her daughters and expelled them under threats and warned of grave consequences”, said Roshin Bibi.
She said that her one son Fareed ullah Shah being depressed by the whole episode of repression and tyranny and not tolerating the prevailing circumstances committed suicide to seek solace and another son Zahr Shah has lost his mental balance and became psycho.
Her daughter Sumara said, “The criminals have rendered our whole family helpless and homeless and we are here sitting under the roof of blue-sky. We appealed to the Chief Justice to take urgent notice of our case and provide us Justice.”
