PPP, MQM reach seat sharing adjustment for Senate polls


Ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and its ally in Sindh and center as well, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) have reached agreement regarding seat adjustment in Senate elections.
The PPP candidates for senate seats from Sindh, Kareem Khawaja and Rashid Rabbani, withdrew their nomination papers for Senate’s general seats against MQM as the two parties materialized the seat adjustment on Wednesday.
In accordance with the agreement MQM would be given 4 Senate seats out of 12.
