Gerardo Mazzini got BBJ Pipes a slender margin win on the opening day of the Enterprise Punjab Cup Polo Tournament 2012 when they edged aside Nestle by half a goal margin here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Tuesday.
Mazzani cracked five goals while Ahmed Ali Tiwana got one in BBJ Pipes six goals to five and a half win over fighting Nestle, which also had half a goal handicap.
From the losing side Shah Qubilai Alam hit in three goals while Raja Samiullah and Hamza Mawaz Khan shared one goals each from the losing side.
Umpires for the match were Simon Mclaren Tosh and James Harper.
Punjab Cup sees top polo players placed in various teams in action in the week long event which promises to produce high quality polo for lovers of the game.
