British cyclist Emily Chappell, who is on a world tour on cycle, was accorded a warm reception on her arrival in the city on Tuesday.
The officials of the Pakistan Cycling Federation, President Munawar Baser led the welcome reception.
Emily, who started her world journey in December last year, reached Pakistan via Turkey and Iran and will be completing her world trip in four years.
“I am elated upon reaching Pakistan and people here are very nice. I have not faced any kind of problem on reaching here.
“I have come to Pakistan despite negative feedback from different quarters. Although I don’t carry any special mission in the world tour but the main purpose of the journey is to promote peace,” she maintained.
Emil will return back to Britain after traveling to America, North America and South Africa. Later a souvenir was presented to the British cyclist.
