The city police on Monday claimed to have arrested four persons for their alleged involvement in bootlegging, mobile snatching, car theft and possessing illegal weapons, a police spokesman said. According to details, ASI Muhammad Arif from Ramna police arrested Mehtab Zafar and Hameed for their alleged involvement in mobile snatching. The police also recovered stolen mobile phone cards worth Rs 10,000 from them. Further investigation is underway. Sub Inspector Muhammad Ishaq from Industrial Area police arrested Yousuf Masih for keeping 18 bottles of liquor while ASI Suleman Shah from Shehzad Town police nabbed Waris Gul for possessing a 30-bore pistol. Sub Inspector Asjad Mehmud from Sabzi Mandi police impounded a car from Yasir Khan and Sharafat Ali stolen from the area of Civil Lines police station, Faisalabad. Cases have been registered against all the accused. Further investigation is being made.
