Roots wins All Pakistan Science Fair

Roots School System won the 13th All Pakistan Science Fair 2012 which comprised a science contest and a science exhibition. The competition was based on three rounds and required understanding of basic and advanced principles of physics, chemistry, mathematics and other sciences. The students of Roots College International G-8, Metropolitan Campus, clinched first position in the science contest. Over 50 teams from topnotch universities and colleges nationwide participated in the contest, said a press release issued here on Monday by Roots School system.
Najib Ishaq, Waqar Ahmed, Shahzaib Zahid, Mujeeb Akhtar and Zaeem Afzal from G-8 Campus displayed a model of ‘Sterling Engine’ which is a source of renewable energy and can be used to supplement electricity to produce energy from other resources and can help overcome power shortage in Pakistan.
