The Prime Minister ‘declared’ 2011 Pakistan’s year of education. When I delved further into the implementation of this statement I could not find any road map of how the government planned on executing this declaration. This is only one of a plethora of rosy, yet vague, promises that the government hopes to bank on during the next election campaign. Whether this is because of lack of resources or lack of will I leave the decision to the readers, but the educational crisis in this country is a dilemma we cannot afford to overlook.
