Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khursheed Shah Tuesday urged Haj Group Operators (HGO) to work with dedication, commitment and responsibility to ensure that pilgrims during coming Haj face no difficulties in accommodation, transportation and other auxiliary facilities.
He was talking to a delegation of Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP) here. The delegation led by Salman Tahir Chairman, called on the Minister. Other members included Abdul Razzaq Senior Vice President, Masood Khan Shinwari and Waheed Iqbal Butt Vice Chairmen, Sanaullah Khan Gen Secretary and Javed Akhtar Joint Secretary.
Secretary Ministry of Religious Affairs Shaukat Hayat Durrani, DG Haj Abu Akif, Director Haj Rafeo Bashir Shah and Director Religious Affairs Ministry Baharullah Hazarvi were also present.
The Minister underscored various areas where pilgrims face problems during haj season and urged HOAP to ensure that extreme vigil is made in addressing those problems in light of past experiences. He instructed for working out a roadmap in consultation of officials of Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The delegation thanked Religious Affairs Minister Syed Khursheed Shah for proving an opportunity to discuss Hajj matters. They assured that utmost efforts would be made for ensuring comfort to pilgrims during coming Haj season.
They also gave suggestions for improving the service quality for Hujjaj. Syed Khursheed instructed officers of Ministry of Religious Affairs for deliberation on suggestions put forth by HOAP delegation.
