Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from former Federal Law Minister Babar Awan and Election Commission on February 28 on an appeal pleading the court to disqualify him.
The plea was filed by a local lawyer.
The LHC summoned two senior lawyers Salman Akram Raja and Barrister Ali Zafar as amicus curiae.
The petitioner states in his application that Babar Awan is not eligible for the office of senator, as he concealed his assets from the Election Commission; hence, he should be declared as disqualified.
