Lahore High Court (LHC) has sought reply from former Federal Law Minister Babar Awan and Election Commission on February 28 on an appeal pleading the court to disqualify him.
The plea was filed by a local lawyer.
The LHC summoned two senior lawyers Salman Akram Raja and Barrister Ali Zafar as amicus curiae.
The petitioner states in his application that Babar Awan is not eligible for the office of senator, as he concealed his assets from the Election Commission; hence, he should be declared as disqualified.

  1. Mr. Petitioner: Don’t waste your time here. Go to Ch. Iftekhar’s court. He will decide the case in 2 minutes, of- course in your favour.

    • mr Beatle take it easy. why sympathise with such people. let him be punished like cinna the poet was instead of Cinna the conspirator, for his bad verses.
      Remember Julius Caesar ?

  2. God is on the side of President Asif Ali Zardari, PM Yusaf Raza Gillani, Senator Babar Awan and Interior Minister Rehman Malik. Despite four years of negative campaign, character assassination, consistent false propaganda and abuse by media, courts, mullah, rightists and opposition they have survived all conspiracies….God bless them.
