Two found murdered

A woman and her brother-in-law were killed by unidentified people, police said on Monday. According to the police, 53-year-old Parveen Pervez and her brother-in-law Chaudhry Javid Iqbal, 50 were found murdered in Iqbal’s house in Sector G/13. Police said Parveen’s husband had died a few years ago after which she began to live at her brother-in-law’s house. Parveen is survived by three sons. The police said Parveen’s son, Fahad Pervez, who resides in England, tried to call his mother and uncle on Sunday and became concerned when both of them did not pick his calls.
He then called his relative Tariq Bhatti, who lives in Sector 1/8 and asked him to visit his uncle’s house to check on mother and uncle. Tariq told the police that on reaching Iqbal’s house, he found the dead bodies in the drawing room.
The police said the murders had been committed with a 30-bore pistol and that both victims sustained bullet injuries to their heads. The dead bodies were handed over to the victims’ relatives after autopsies were performed. The Golra Police registered an FIR against unidentified people on Tariq’s complaint.
