Zahid Hussain Bokhari, counsel for former ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani, on Monday said that he has not been able to acquire visa for London and now he cannot attend the memo proceedings there.
Talking to media person after failing to get visa, Bokhari said that he would not be able to reach London at the time of recording of Mansoor Ijaz’s statement to memogate commission. Mansoor Ijaz would give his statement at London High Commission on Feb 22 via video link.
Zahid Bokhari, had to travel to London to cross examine Mansoor Ijaz, the main character in the memo case.
Meanwhile, complete arrangements for video conference of Mansoor Ijaz from London were made and two big video screens in this regard were installed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) room where memogate commission will record Ijaz’s testimony via video conference to be held tomorrow (Wednesday).
According to sources, Secretary memogate commission, Raja Jawad Abbas reached London to collect evidence from Mansoor Ijaz.
Sources said that Abbas had collected electronic devices and other evidences from Ijaz and also review the arrangements for his video conference.
