An interesting situation developed on Monday when darkness prevailed during the Energy Conference organized by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to find out ways to curb rampant power crisis.
Reports said speakers and audience in the conference hall witnessed power outage for few minutes during PML-N leaders’ speeches.
PML-N central leader Raja Zafarul Haq presided over the conference as Mian Nawaz Sharif could not join the moot owing to severe flu.
Sharif’s written speech was distributed among the conference participants, in which he held PPP and Musharraf governments responsible for power crisis in the country, expressing hope that the issue could be resolved with planning and sincerity.
He said power policy of 1994 laid foundation of current power crises when Independent Power Projects were hired on rent, raising the overall production costs and kickbacks during PPP government.
He said the burden was eventually shifted to masses, making it a national issue. Nawaz said investment of $4 billion in energy sector was vital to meet power demands as estimated by the Planning Commission of Pakistan.

  1. That's really a conspiracy against the PML(N).What's a joke.No more blame game. Now We all have to work together to fix all those problems confronting the whole nation and not just one party

  2. Inshallah the whole nation will stand behind one party PTI. The future belongs to Imran Khan as we can no longer afford to leave our country in the hands of PPP and PML-N.

  3. Looks like PML is ought to copy whatever PTI is planning to do. Not a bad move if the actions follows too. PML N has been in power and still in power and never thought about this crises but cheap slogans and photoshoots. Credit goes to PTI to start a constructive competition and result will be better for Pakistan.
