ANP Senators called on Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani here Monday and assured him that ANP would continue to act as a faithful coalition partner and extend its solid unconditional support to the PPP-led government for the sake of democracy and the Federation.
They extended whole hearted appreciation to Prime Minister Gilani on the unanimous passage of the 20th Amendment in the National Assembly, adding that it would be passed by the Senate as well.
Gilani thanked the Senators for their support and said it was the responsibility of all the Parliamentarians to nurture democracy in Pakistan.
Those who met the Prime Minister included Senators Muhammad Zahid Khan, Abdul Nabi Bangish, Haji Muhammad Adeel, Ilyas Ahmed Bilour, Afrasiab Khattak and Mrs. Farah Aqil.
