At least 15 people were killed and several others injured when a passenger van fell into gorge in Haripur on Monday.
Police sources said that the van, carrying 18 to 20 passengers onboard was moving towards Sarikot, slipped into the gorge due heavy rain in Kotki area, resultantly 15 passengers were died at the spot.
According to DPO, bodies of 15 people had been recovered from the gorge while 3 injured were shifted to a hospital.
“Police and rescue teams rushed to spot and started the operation,” reports said and added that the injured had been shifted to District Headquarter Hospital. Rescue teams faced difficulties due to the rain and low visibility.
The van was traveling to Sarikot but met an accident at Kotki where it fell into a gorge.
