LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) is launching its first training course under the USAID-funded Assessment and Strengthening programme today. The first course on Monitoring and Evaluation for Senior Management will be attended by the top management (Tier 1, Grade 19, 20) of Government of Pakistan and Civil Society Organisations. Assessment and Strengthening Program (ASP) is designed to train the officials at three levels in the areas of financial management, procurement management, monitoring and evaluation and HR and administration. The basic purpose of ASP is to bring the integral management of Pakistani CSOs and the GOP organisations towards a higher level of management excellence, accountability, and transparency.
