RSS hosts ‘Pak-China Friendship Conference 2012’

Roots School System`s Chinese Language Department in collaboration with Pakistan China Institute on Saturday organised “Pakistan China Friendship Conference 2012” here at the Islamabad Club Auditorium.
This was another Pak-China friendship initiative taken by Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Roots School System (RSS) and Idea Sponsor Roots Chinese Language Initiative Executive Director, and Pakistan China Institute (PCI) Chairman Mushahid Hussain Syed who warmly welcomed the 22-member official delegation of Association of Cultural Exchanges with Foreign Countries, Xinjiang China. Notable stakeholders, dignitaries, government officials, intellectuals, academicians, educational speakers, progressive thinkers, students and media attended this event.
The panel of speakers for this auspicious event included Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Deputy President of People’s Congress Xinjiang Qiaojifu, Founder Youth Senate Pakistan Hanan Abbasi and CEO Dawn Media Group Hameed Haroon. The cultural event was organised to commemorate and celebrate the 60-year-long friendship of Pakistan-China and it warmly welcome the esteemed delegation from China.
The event marked and showcased some colorful, energetic and vibrant performances by the brilliant students of Roots School System who entertained the audience with good luck dance performance and dragon dance performance. The performances mesmerised the audience and left them awestruck. The children also paid tribute to the armies of Pakistan and China which the audience appreciated with a standing ovation. Throughout the event the participants waved flags of Pakistan and China and chanted slogan of ‘Long Live Pakistan-China’.
The event proved to be momentous and acted as a milestone in further strengthening the bond of friendship between Pakistan and China.
Speaking on the occasion Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq said: “Pakistan-China friendship is a time-honored brotherhood, regardless of changes in the international situation or in each other’s domestic affairs. The long-standing ties between the two countries have been mutually supportive as both countries have always stood by each other in times of need. This great bond of friendship has gained strong momentum over the years and has translated into steady progress, strong strategic partnership, robust economic cooperation and ever-closer people-to-people connections. The friendship that exists between Pakistan and China is deep-rooted in the hearts of people of both countries and is a shared asset that is equally cherished and enriched, he added.
The well structured, organised and highly acclaimed conference concluded with the certificate distribution and souvenir presentation.
RSS students organise Mehfil-e-Milad: Meanwhile, the students of RSS organised Mehfil-e-Milad in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) at its E-11/4 campus.
The faculty members stressed the need to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to get success in life and the hereafter. Every year RSS dedicates the whole month to honor and remember the great teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH). The students hosted the auspicious event with great enthusiasm. Walid Mushtaq, ED RSS, admired the steps taken to integrate religious education as an integral part of the school mainstream curriculum.
