Sadar Division police arrested eight Nigerians and recovered 1 kg charas and bottles of liquor from their possession. This was disclosed by DIG Operations during a press conference here on Friday. The arrested include Tochuknu David Ezeonyukwo, Ali Guessan Ndukaku, Chigozie Celestine Ugoagy, Chi Dimma Ejeagiwu, Dickson Emmanuel, Anselem Ckakwou, Micheal Okwvdili, and Sylvester. He said that Township police arrested three car thieves and recovered eight cars from their possession and also arrested two other robbers, while Chung police nabbed three robbers and recovered weapons from their possession.
CORPSES: Mozang police recovered the body of Bilal, 27, on Friday, who was found to be a drug addict. It was reported that he died of excessive drug use and his body was sent to the morgue for autopsy. Meanwhile, Faisal Town police recovered a decomposed body from an open drain and police suspected it to be a murder case.
FIRE : Valuables and goods worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke out owing to a short circuit in a sweet factory in Shahdara area on Friday. Two firefighters were injured while extinguishing the fire.
