Punjab Industrial Estates & Development Company (PIEDMC) Chairman SM Tanveer announced on Friday that the construction of the Drug Testing Laboratory and Research Centre (DTLR) building at Sunder Industrial Estate was on fast track and would be completed well before the stipulated time. He praised the efforts of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif for granting Rs 30 million to expedite the construction of the building, as well as the sourcing of equipment for the DTLR.
The drug testing laboratory would help around 160 pharma units in the Sunder Industrial Estate, and aid pharmaceuticals manufacturers in obtaining swift results of the tests of their products.
