Pressure against national interest unacceptable: Hina

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said that Pakistan would not become a puppet in the hands of any force.
While talking to journalists after the announcement of three partite dialogues in the President House, Hina Rabbani Khar said that three partite conferences would bring far-reaching effects in the region.
The US had been briefed that no pressure would be accepted against national interests, she said adding that Mullah Omar was not in Pakistan.
Interior Minister Rehman Malik said that Afghanistan had been asked to set biometric system on the border. “If it doesn’t implement the project, we would materialise this mission. We have done a lot of things against Jandullah Group,” he said.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Pakistan would not become a puppet in the hands of any force. Three partite dialogues would prove a new chapter in the history of Pakistan, she added.
She said Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan were three important countries as well as neighbours in the region, adding that friends could be changed but not neighbours.
