Kinnaird Club had moved to the final of the Senior Inter-district Women Cricket Championship to take on Garrison Club today (Friday). In the last league match of the championship, Kinnaid Club thrashed Universal Club by 264 runs here on Thursday. Bating first, Kinnaird cracked 299 for seven in 40 overs. Maham was 56 runs were the highest scorer while Hina and Fara contributed 38 and 33 runs respectively and Fariya added useful 27 runs to the total. Saba snared three wickets for 47 runs while Mavriya claimed two wickets for 61 runs.
In reply, Universal Club crumbled at 35 runs in 14.3 overs with none of their batswomen reaching the double figures. Nimra sent back three players for 12 runs, Elizebath had two for no run while Hina and Madiha shared one wicket each for seven and 10 runs respectively. The final of the championship will be played today and MPA Khawaja Imran Nazir will be the chief guest of the day and give away the prizes to the winners.
