Umera Ahmad has many novels to her credit and a large number of these have also been turned into drama series. Her latest novel that is set to be adapted for the small screen is her first novel ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’. Interestingly, this novel is Umera Ahmad’s very first novel after which she professionally started writing. Through the drama serial ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’, Sultana Siddiqui will also make her comeback as a director. The novel-based drama serial will see the return of some ‘Humsafar’ star cast members and other actors, including Fawad Afzal Khan, VJ and drama actress Sanam Saeed, Waseem Abbas, Behrooz Sabzwari, and Mehreen Raheel. Fawad Afzal Khan will play a student from the elite in ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’ whereas Sanam Saeed will be seen as a lower middle class student.
