At least five persons, including a police personnel, were injured when some unidentified miscreants hurled a hand grenade at a police vehicle in Sarband area of Peshawar on Thursday.
According to SSP Operations Tahir Ayub, a police mobile van was on routine patrol when it was targeted by some unidentified militants with a hand grenade, injuring five persons including a policeman.
Heavy contingent of police and rescue workers rushed to the area and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital where two of them were stated to be in critical condition.
Law enforcement agencies including police cordoned off the entire area after the attack and stated search operation for hunting the miscreants. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
