Eight outlaws, 31 suspects arrested

The city police on Thursday claimed to have arrested eight persons from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in car-lifting and drug-pushing, and recovered a stolen car, narcotics and weapons from their possession.
According to details, ASI Javed Sultan from Kohsar Police nabbed two thieves Aamir Masih and Muzamil and recovered stolen valuables from their possession. During routine checking, Inspector Lal Din from anti-car lifting cell impounded a stolen Honda City car (WH-438) and nabbed one of the occupants while the other one managed to escape. The arrested accused confessed to lifting of a car from city area Rawalpindi.
Meanwhile, Margallah Police arrested a pickpocket identified as Tahir and recovered stolen cash from him. Tarnol Police nabbed Mirza Abdul Ghani and Hanif for having 30 bore pistol and 8 MM rifle respectively. Shehzad Town Police arrested a drug pusher Naseer Ahmed for having 80 gram heroin while an accused Basharat Ali was arrested for possession of 30 bore pistol. The Islamabad police also arrested 31 suspects during a search operation in the areas of Bhara Kau, Aabpara, Tarnol, Nilore and Shehzad town police stations.
