AIOU admission forms available at all regional campuses

The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has started admissions for Semester Spring 2012 from matriculation to MA/MSc programmes while computerised admission forms have been sent to all the continuing students across the country.
This was announced by AIOU Director Admissions Syed Zia-ul-Hasnain Naqvi on Wednesday. Naqvi said, “In case any student does not receive admission form, he/she should download it from the AIOU website www.aiou.edu.pk or obtain the same from the nearest regional/coordination office of the university and deposit it in any designated bank branch by mentioning registration number and mobile number with fee by due date to avoid late fee charges.”
He said admission forms and prospectuses for all the programmes offered during Spring Semester 2012 could be obtained from the sale points at the main campus, regional campuses and coordinating offices all over the country. He further said admission forms with required fee could be submitted at nationwide branches of First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Habib Bank Ltd. Fee in shape of bank draft or pay order would not be accepted, he pointed out.
According to the director admissions, MSc in Mass Communication, Environmental Design, Mathematics, Sociology, Physics, Statistics, Chemistry and Forestry Extension are being offered. The admission to MBA, M.Com, four-year BS programmes in Microbiology and Chemistry, Commonwealth of Learning MBA/MPA, MA in distance & non-formal education, secondary teacher education, educational planning & management, special education, library & information sciences and teaching of English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), MEd in distance, non-formal and continuing education, secondary teacher’s education, science education and special education were also being offered.
Environmental Design, Educational Planning and Management, Mass Communication, Teaching English as Foreign Language (TEFL), Computer Science and Youth in Development Work are included in postgraduate diploma. In bachelor programmes, BA, B.Com, BLIS and Mass Communication, in teachers’ training programme, ATTC and PTC are being offered. Admissions to FA, I.Com, FSc (pre-engineering), FSc (pre-medical), Matriculation, Dars-e-Nizami, certificate courses (6-month duration), agricultural courses (6-month duration), open tech courses and short-term educational programmes are also being offered during Spring 2012.
