Two robbers shot and injured two brothers after looting prize bonds worth Rs 7 million in the Old Anarkali Police Area on Tuesday. The injured were identified as Muhammad Muneer and Muhammad Naseem, residents of Gawalmandi. The brothers were returning to their house after converting their Rs 7 million into prize bonds when two robbers held them on gunpoint. The robbers then tried to snatch away the prize bonds and shot at the brothers when they offered resistance. The criminals were able to escape from the scene with the booty. Separately, two robbers snatched jewellery weighing 4 tolas from a cancer patient Haji Qamar and his wife, residents of Chuhng Area in Lytton Road Police precincts. The couple was on their way to sell the jewellery for their daughter’s marriage.
