PCB to promote cricket in FATA: Zaka

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Chaudhary Zaka Ashraf has said that all efforts will be made to promote cricket in the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas (FATA) to polish the talent.
He was speaking to a delegation of the Cricket representatives from FATA, which called on him at National Cricket Academy. The delegation told the chairman on the cricketing issues and problems faced by them in promoting the game there.
Zaka Ashraf assured the delegation that their issues would be taken up on priority basis. He reiterated his stance that every possible measure would be taken to identify and groom talent from every part of the country, including FATA.
He said PCB was committed to take steps which would help in promoting cricket even in the remotest regions of the country. Pakistan has tremendous cricketing potential and it is essential that it is provided to showcase this talent at the national and international level.
“Strengthening our domestic cricket is key to success at the international level and PCB is doing everything in its capacity to ensure that no talent goes unnoticed no matter where in the country it is located”, he added.
