Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police on Monday arrested two women and their accomplices involved in taking away gold ornaments of lady passengers during travel and also nabbed five other persons for possessing two pistols, one repeater gun and wine. According to details, incharge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon and his team arrested two women and their accomplice who used to steal gold ornaments of women passengers in public transport, police spokesman said. The nabbed persons arrested from Koral police area were identified as Safia Bibi, Shamim Bibi and Ejaz who confessed their involvement in several such activities. Further investigation is underway and police have initially recovered gold ornaments worth Rs3,00,000 including golden rings, bangles and other jewellery.
Two lady complainants Saadia Javed resident of Chaklala and Farzana Jabeen resident of Pakistan town have been contacted after the recovery of these gold ornaments for return to them. Meanwhile, CIA police team arrested Qaisar Mehmud, Dilawar Masih, Bakht Khan, Fazal Mehmud, Abdul Qayum and recovered 44 wine bottles, 235 gram hashish, two pistols and one repeater gun from them.
