Activists of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, on Monday demonstrated against the party leadership for not awarding Senate tickets in their province on merit. The PPP workers gathered in front of the Parliament and chanted slogans against their leaders. Some PPP leaders, including KP Women Wing President Asma Arbab Alamgir and Federal Religious Minister Khursheed Shah, reached the spot and asked them to stop the protest and bring their complaint into the notice of PPP Co-chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari.The protesters were of the view that their leadership had ignored all the old party workers just due to the fact that they had not enough money to pay for tickets.
