Imran wants open border with Afghanistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday that it was his dream to see an open border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. He was talking to Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Umer Daudzai, who called on him at his residence. Imran said that in the past Pakistani regimes backed different Afghan groups instead of simply supporting what was good for the Afghans. The PTI chairman hoped that the future would tie up both countries in exemplary ties. Daudzai told Imran that how different agreements were imposed on the Afghans throughout history since the Soviet invasion, including the arrival of US and NATO forces. He said that Afghanistan was not even represented in the resolutions presented in the UNSC about the country.

    Quick-to-judge syndrome is very much depicted there. Why on earth do I need to repeat what he said about Pak's manipulative relations back in those days – relations that introduced drugs and all. We can have at least some imagination and fair-mindedness to assume that Afghanistan is not all about drugs and weapons. Pashtuns men and women? Imran's own mother belonged to Waziristan, which can perhaps explains this dream of him – his dreams are always positively magnanimous, to say the least.

  322. This what makes Imran different. Like big leaders, Imran dream and then struggle to reach his dream. He always kept his goals high. InshaAllah, his dream will com true that like European Union, this region including India will have good relationship. ordinary people cannot understand dreamer unless the dream start becoming reality.

  323. For all people here commenting Imran being "pro-Taliban" are narrow minded and either are educated in the Pakistani 'elite' English medium schools who are uncomfortable in their own skin or are completely nut shells.

    We are still living with inferior complex mentality, which was created by the British colonialist days. We are uncomfortable to cooporate with our own people. There are many foreign intitutions in Afghanistan doing dvelopment work, does it make them 'pro-taliban' and the US is talking to Taliban in Qatar to bring political setlement to thi mess. Does it make US 'pro Taliban'?

    Open up your minds, embrace your people, your neighbouring couintries like Afghanistan, and Iran and form an economic and mlitary alliance. Do that also with India.
    That's how you can survive in globalized world today economically and have some self-respect.

    It says open border with Afghanistan., in other words
    Imran wants to open border with Aghanistan!!!!

  328. I am sure that peace will prevail in Pakistan, as individuals who were part of the violence realize their mistake.
