The leader of opposition Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has tabled a resolution in the National Assembly against interference of some foreign powers in the internal affairs of Pakistan, which was adopted by the house unanimously.
The resolution said that the National Assembly strongly condemns the discussion about Afghanistan in the US Senate’s Sub Committee. It also demanded to stop drone attacks forthwith by respecting the independence of Pakistan.
It stated that interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign country would increase the non confidence among Pakistan and US instead of mending ties, which are already in hot waters.
“The American people should urge their government not to intervene in the internal affairs of Pakistan by poking its nose in Baluchistan issue. Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani also confirmed that there is not any military operation in Baluchistan, which is heartening.
He said that it is the matter of shame that government did not react or launch any protest with US on coming Baluchistan under discussion in an American Senate’s subcommittee.
The US intervention would not be tolerated, he said adding that it was out of thought that why the government was not paying heed towards the issue of Baluchistan. The rulers should fulfill their responsibilities in this regard, he said.
“PPP has not learnt any lesson from the tragedy of Dhaka fall. If the proper attention is not given to Baluchistan, the state of affairs would further be deteriorated. The matter should be resolved through negotiation process”, the PML-N leader said in the resolution. He said the government feels fear from US as the life of rulers is in the hands of Americans.
