Bank Alfalah claim Nurpur Polo Cup

Bank Alfalah edged aside its rival to claim the title when it beat the combined team of Army and Nadra in the final of the Noon Group Nurpur Polo Cup 2012 here at the Lahore Polo Club ground on Sunday. Master Paints, however, had a slender margin win of half a goal margin against Guard Filters to get to the third place in the tournament fully enjoyed by a healthy number of holiday fans and chief guest Malik Hamid Ali Noon, who later presented the trophy to the winner team.
Bank Alfalah hammered six goals with Raul Laplacette getting three while Pakistan Army-Nadra scored fie goals. Atif Yar Tiwana and Waseem Sial completed the winners score tally with two ad one goal respectively. On the other hand all the five goals of the losing side was converted by James Harper. Earlier in the day Master Paints having half a goal advantage cracked fie goals in the field similar to the number of goals got by Guard Filters but their handicap got then third position in the tournament. For Guard Filters, Ahmed Ali Tiwana score two goals while Raja Temur Nadeem, Taimur Ali Malik and Hamza Mawaz Khan shared one each. However, Igancio Del Tour top scored with three goals for Masters with Sufi Muhammad Haris and Hamza Mawaz Khan getting one goal each.
Simon Mclaren Tosh, Santiago Mendivil, Simon Mclaren Tosh and Vieri Antinori were the umpires while Gaston Moore and James Harper were the referees.
