Noted businessmen of city join MQM

Noted business personalities of Karachi, Feroze Alam Lari, Saeed Usman, Sadiq Muhammad and Muhammad Rehan, announced on Saturday that they are joining the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).
They announced their decision at a press conference at the MQM Head Office Nine Zero in the presence of the party Rabita Committee Deputy Convener of the Dr Farooq Sattar and member Nasreen Jalil.
Provincial ministers Rauf Siddiqui, Adil Siddiqui and Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce Chairman Mian Muhammad Atique were also present on the occasion.
Expressing confidence in the leadership and political philosophy of MQM chief Altaf Hussain, the new party members said the business community in the country has always been looked upon as timid, but it was the need of the hour to support the MQM openly for the sake of the country.
“The failing economic situation of the country has forced us to realise that if we do not support the MQM, there would be no one to look after Karachi, the centre of economic activity in the country,” they added.
